Disclosure: InterviewPilot is our product. Our LockedIn AI comparison page lists sources. Everything about LockedIn below comes from its own site and documentation, checked on 30 October 2026, unless marked "(reported)".

What LockedIn AI is

LockedIn AI is a career platform with a real-time interview copilot at its centre. Alongside live interview help it offers mock interviews, coding support and other career tools. It runs on Windows and macOS desktops, with mobile apps as well.

According to its documentation, the plans are:

PlanWhat it is
FreeUnlimited 5-minute sessions, up to 60 free minutes a day, with a 1-minute pause between sessions
General (unlimited)Unlimited sessions, no credit charges
Pro (unlimited)Unlimited, with Pro entitlements
Credit plans400 minutes a month (monthly) or 1,200 minutes (quarterly); credits don't expire
LifetimeOne-time purchase with Pro entitlements

Paid sessions are capped at 120 minutes (60 for mock interviews), per the same docs.

LockedIn's docs say its pricing page is the authority on prices, but that page didn't show figures when we checked. Third-party reviews report about $54.99/month for General, $119.99/month for Pro, $69.99 for a credit pack and about $999 for lifetime, often shown as discounts off a higher list price (reported).

Why people look for alternatives

  • Prices are hard to pin down. Reports disagree, and app-store prices reportedly differ from web prices. That makes it hard to budget in advance.
  • Free sessions are very short. Five minutes covers one or two questions, not a real round. It works as a demo but not for a whole interview.
  • Unlimited plans suit constant interviewers. If you have two or three loops in a month, a monthly subscription often costs more than paying per interview.
  • Dollar billing. For candidates in India, a dollar subscription adds card fees and currency conversion.
  • Scope. Some people want only an interview assistant, not a career suite.

The alternatives

InterviewPilot (Windows, INR)

  • Price: free tier of 3 sessions a day, 10 minutes each; then ₹599 for a one-hour interview session, 3 sessions for ₹1,399 or 10 for ₹4,499. Unlimited monthly and lifetime plans also exist. See pricing.
  • Stealth: the overlay is excluded from Zoom, Meet and Teams screen shares and recordings on every plan, including free.
  • Coverage: reads coding problems off the screen; round focus for DSA, system design and machine coding; Concise, Explained or STAR answers.
  • Where LockedIn wins: InterviewPilot's released app is Windows only (a macOS build is in beta, with a waitlist), there's no mobile app, and it has no career-suite extras.

ParakeetAI

A credit-based copilot for Windows and macOS (plus desktop Chrome). Credits are sold in packs, and unlimited plans are available. Pricing is shown in INR to Indian visitors. See ParakeetAI alternatives for figures.

Verve AI

A copilot plus mock-interview platform on Mac, Windows, browser and mobile. Its free plan includes 3 copilot sessions of 15 minutes each. See Verve AI alternatives.

Final Round AI

A broader interview-prep suite. Live copilot sessions need Pro, which starts from $25/month on its pricing page, and there's no free copilot trial. See Final Round AI alternatives.

Cluely

A general meeting assistant. Hiding from screen share needs its "Pro + Undetectability" plan at $149.99/month (checked 30 October 2026). See Cluely alternatives.

Paying for one interview, not a month?

InterviewPilot sells single one-hour sessions for ₹599, with 3 free ten-minute sessions a day to test it first. Stealth is on every plan. Windows 10 (2004+) and Windows 11.

Say you have four rounds this month, each about an hour.

OptionRough cost
InterviewPilot, 3-pack + 1 single₹1,399 + ₹599 = ₹1,998
InterviewPilot, 10-pack (6 left for later; valid 2 months)₹4,499
LockedIn AI General, one monthabout $54.99 (reported)
LockedIn AI credit plan, 400 minutesabout $69.99 (reported)

If you interview every week for several months, an unlimited plan from any vendor starts to make sense. For one or two loops, paying per interview usually wins.

When LockedIn AI is the better choice

  • You're on a Mac, or want a mobile app.
  • You want career tools beyond interviews in one subscription.
  • You'll interview constantly for months and want unlimited sessions.
  • Five-minute free sessions are enough for what you need, such as quick questions.

A 15-minute test before you pay for anything

  1. Start a practice video call with a friend and share your full screen. Check what they see. Our invisibility test has the full checklist.
  2. Ask three questions: a behavioral one, a DSA problem shown on screen, and a system design prompt.
  3. Time how long it takes for the first words of each answer to appear.
  4. Check whether answers stay in the format you need, such as STAR or complexity analysis.
  5. Read the refund terms before you buy a subscription.
